The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) is the world's most prestigious society of emergency medicine specialty. AAEM is a democratic organization committed to the following principles:

Dominican Society Emergency Medicine SODOEM

The November 30, 2008 the Dominican Society of Emergenciologia (SODEM) which gets union backing in 2011 is based. Its first president Dr. Carmen Bautista Peña.

 

As the Dominican Republic has the 119 medical graduates in the specialty of Emergency Medicine with subspecialties in Disasters and Critical Care.

 

In 2010 Dr. Tito Serum was recognized as the father of Emergency Medicine in the Dominican Republic.

 

Mission: Our mission is fomenter development MEdiicna Emergency in the Dominican Republic, to support the formation of genuine and responsibles in the performance of professional medical practice and ensure the highest quality care to the Dominicans, on par with the progress of science.

 

Vision: To be leaders in the timely and edgy attention of emergencies.

Integrity: is committed to providing each patient a humane and decent treatment respecting their vulnerability to disease.

EMIG Emergency Medicine

Interest Groups

EMIG is a student organization founded to prepare students who have a strong desire to Emergency Medical Specialty improving our skills as physicians and expanding our vision to complement and develop our careers.

 

Mission:

• Help form have a greater understanding to the field of emergency medical profession.

 

• Understand the educational challenges we face as physicians in critical environments.

 

• Most importantly, to better prepare for this demanding field of interest and making it one of our strengths.

 

Purpose: In order to achieve the mission of the student group, its purpose shall be to promote activities and programs for students and community members in efforts to increase the general knowledge base of emergency situations. Currently active groups collaborate UNIBE, INTEC and UNPHU.

The Emergency Medicine and Critical Care (EMC2) Institute is the academic arm of SENSA Healthcare, working as a private nonprofit organization dedicated to academic development and emergency / intensive care Kritios therapy. Has formal partnerships with UNPHU, University of Barcelona, Harvard University, being the official center of the Fundamental Critical Care Support programs (FCCS) and Basic Disaster Management (FDM) of the Society for Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and Advanced Hazmtat program Life Support. From the perspective of research EMC2, has been Fuento of innovation in Latin America, developing important research projects presented in recognized international forums such as the College and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, SCCM.org, Spanish Society of Critical Care Medicine and American Congress of Emergency Medicine.
